ABOUT MARK

Mark Citron is a professional sports broadcaster and is currently The Voice of The Windy City ThunderBolts (1st season) and is entering his sixth season as “The Voice of the Chicago Steel” in the United States Hockey League.

Citron began his professional career calling games in 2015 as a student broadcaster for The Tampa Bay Lightning, and since then, has called over 300 games for the United States Hockey League (USHL), American Hockey League (AHL), and the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL).

In 2017, Citron became the sideline reporter for the Chicago Wolves and handled personalities such as Vegas Golden Knights players Shea Theodore, Nick Hague, and the Chicago Wolves coaching staff. So far in his tenure with the Steel, Mark has also been a crucial piece in developing future personalities in the NHL working with Owen Power, Josh Doan, Matthew Coronato, Adam Fantilli, Macklin Celebrini, and dozens of others.

Following his tenure with the Wolves, Citron ascended to become the voice of the Chicago Steel of The United States Hockey League (USHL). The Steel are the top premier Junior Hockey League in the world and have had the most prospects drafted in the last three years than any other junior hockey organization in that span.

Away from the microphone, Citron is actively involved in Steel community events, coordinates media interviews, and is a key player in developing ongoing sales & marketing initiatives.
